There will be a variety of eco-friendly crafts and kids can plant their own little tree! Those who donate $4 or 4 non-perishable food items will receive a mini tomato or basil planting kit.

All proceeds will be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.

Help Capilano Mall Raise $75,000 and 20,000 lbs of Food for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society!

Bentall Kennedy has launched its Fare Fight For Food Challenge, a national initiative that will partner Bentall Kennedy-managed shopping centres in 17 locations across Canada with local food banks.

During the next 8 months, Capilano Mall and the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society will host special events and promotions to raise awareness about hunger in our communities and across our country. Capilano Mall will also compete against other participating malls across Canada, for funds raised and pounds of food collected. Winners will be given one of five $10,000 grants, to be donated to the winner’s partner food bank.

100% of proceeds from the gift wrap program go directly to The North Shore Community Resources.

And to keep in line with our green initiatives, all gifts will be wrapped using wrapping paper made from 80 – 100% recycled material.

The Gift Wrap Centre will be open during mall hours until Saturday, December 24th at 5pm.

Until December 16th, members of the public can visit www.capilanomall.com and nominate a deserving child to receive a wrapped gift basket from Santa, valued up to $250. 10 children will be selected to receive gifts, delivered to them anonymously before December 25.

We’re inviting our community to share the magic this season by making a child’s holiday a little brighter. Whether it’s a less-fortunate child who may not have a gift to unwrap, or a young person who deserves a surprise after demonstrating leadership, volunteerism, caring or community involvement – we’d like to hear about it!
